Born in Oregon, I grew up in a loving Catholic family and attribute my strong faith foundation to my dedicated parents. Having attended and taught in primarily Catholic schools, I recognize the power of incorporating the faith into many small, teachable moments. I earned an MA in Interdisciplinary Education from Santa Clara University and an MA in Catholic Administration from the Institute for Catholic Leadership at the University of San Francisco. I have worked as a classroom teacher of many ages, as well as a parish Faith Formation Coordinator for the Diocese of San Jose and Archdiocese of San Francisco.
I love all things Catholic and am dedicated to living my life as an unapologetically Catholic writer and speaker and a joyful wife, mother, and disciple of Christ. I value my personal faith journey as much as my professional one. Starting my own family brought both into focus and stirred an earnest desire in me to share my favorite practices with other Catholic parents. The one thing I desire more than anything is to empower parents to pass on the faith to their little ones, which led me to found MY CATHOLIC HOME.
Perhaps most importantly I have experienced the struggle firsthand of raising my boys in the Catholic faith. I know what it’s like to have a toddler screaming in the pews during Mass and to feel that the task at hand is daunting, vast, and at times overwhelming. But by God’s grace, I have tremendous faith in myself and all Catholic parents of little ones and am eager to help as many of you as I can on this tremendous journey through Catholic parenthood.
